The Lago Maggiore ZIPLine Trail is an evocative race along a scenic route in the upper Verbano area, rich in historical evocations linked to the Cadorna Line, an imposing system of military fortifications built during the First World War to defend Italy’s northern border with Switzerland.<\/p>\n
The event is organised by Avis Marathon Verbania with the association Terre Alte Laghi, and the support of the municipalities of Aurano, Oggebbio, Cannero Riviera and Trarego Viggiona, the Unione Montana Valgrande and Lake Mergozzo, the Val Grande National Park and various local associations.<\/p>\n
Two routes to take:<\/p>\n
1\ufe0f\u20e3 LONG TRAIL of 25 km, difference in altitude 1200 m.<\/p>\n
2\ufe0f\u20e3 SHORT TRAIL of 11 km, difference in altitude 450 m.<\/p>\n
A non-competitive walk and Nordic Walking is also planned.<\/p>\n
\u261dWho can take part? <\/p>\n
Competitive races are reserved for athletes over 18 years of age with a valid competitive sports medical certificate.<\/p>\n
The non-competitive walk and Nordic Walking, on the other hand, is open to all with a declaration of fitness.<\/p>\n
